What you’ll do
We are looking for an Agile Business Analyst to join our Digital product family to deliver a robust analysis service which meets the demands of our business and clients, working with our diverse technology solutions and cross functional development teams. The role requires collaboration with our Product teams, business stakeholders and technical teams, playing a key role in shaping our current and future technology and product delivery.
This role sits within an Agile development squad but there is also a requirement to work at a project level based on business demand. The advertised role sits within a digital project squad, and as such, the ideal candidate will have relevant digital experience, in addition to having business analysis capabilities.
By working with the Product and Software Engineering Teams, the successful candidate will clearly analyse, document, and manage requirements, help to define problems, and get buy-in from stakeholders to identify viable business solutions across the full product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
- Research into feasibility of requests, elicit and gather requirements and produce documentation including diagrams using relevant modelling tools.
- Work collaboratively with the squad to break down features into user stories and shape these into feasible solutions for delivery.
- Ensure user stories meet the squad’s agreed Definition of Ready/Done.
- Assist the Product Owners with definition of the Product Roadmap, MVPs, and features.
- Assist the Product Owners with providing the data to support more informed prioritisation.
- Take ownership for prioritised analysis of internal and external customer support issues within the squad, collaborating with squad and stakeholders in the support process, to deliver resolutions to incidents and problems.
- Facilitate analysis and agile ceremonies, such as Requirements Capture, Impact Assessments, Backlog Refinements & Retrospectives.
- Ensure effective written and verbal communication with clients as part of your analysis, and with Product Owner and squad members, raising issues when necessary.
- Coach and mentor Junior Analysts in both analysis skills and applications knowledge.
- Be organised and able to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to manage workload and push back where needed.
- Maintain knowledge of design processes, tools & standards, analysis best practice.
- Contribute to initiatives and continuous improvement of working practices within squad and department.
- Support the Business Analysis community of practice, sharing knowledge, skills, and experience to improve the business analysis processes and deliverables.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- Experience operating in a digital environment
- Systems analysis and business analysis capabilities.
- Full understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working in a cross functional development team.
- Understanding of agile frameworks.
- Knowledge of JIRA or similar.
